They have the nicest shelter I've ever seen. All the animals a healthy and well taken care of. The staff is so friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. I adopted a beautiful little dog.I highly recommend them.

This animal shelter is truly amazing I adopted a beautiful fun sweet baby kitten named Big Ben he’s been the best sweetest little guy who we truly love he makes us all happy. When I first met him is was shy and scared but Cass who works at the shelter was so kind and sweet to my family and I and helped us threw the whole process of adopting Big Ben. If you’re looking for a new pet/family member I would definitely say check out pets and pals. They have all kinds of fur babies waiting for their forever home. If I ever decide to adopt another animal this would be my go to place and I live all the way in San Jose so it’s very much worth the look.. thank you cass and pets and pals for my sweet outgoing spunky Big Ben.

Didnt do anything to help the animal i found after referred by stockton animal shelter. I found an animal who had a chip, who was dangering itself and other drivers due to dog walking in middle of road following people and animals into their homes. Kept her for one night and brought her in after veternarian informed me she had a chip and that the shelter would take her in the morning. I called and was told they wouldnt. I was redirected to another animal shelter and told the same thing. I ended up having to let the dog loose on the road near where she was found due to not wanting to get in trouble at my house and not having permission to have another dog at my residence. Sadly the dog was hit by a car later that night by my house i found her AGAIN was yelled at by STOCKTON ANIMAL CONTROL to be told they couldnt do anything. Until stockton police came and got her. This could have been handled as i brought her that morning i was even told by the emergency vet, and completed referal ect. I did it all dog even was chipped with owner information and informed this to the shelter none of it matter. Car was damaged, dog injured and me emotionally traumatized because i did all i could. We adopted Casper today and the process was super easy. I filled out an application online and they called me back within 2 hours of submitting it. I scheduled an appointment the next day and came to pick up my baby. They also sent him home with a harness, some food, a brand new bag of his fave treats, his favorite toy, and a brand new fleece blanket. They also provide you with important paperwork like vaccinations, microchip info, and a few welcome guides and tips. Great service and friendly staff.

Pets & Pals Animal Shelter is awesome! The staff were kind, attentive, and more than willing to answer all of my questions throughout the process. I filled out an online application and received a call from a staff member within a few days about arranging a date to meet the dog I was interested in. The facilities are well maintained and there's also a large play area for dogs to socialize and play. After meeting Jack, I knew he'd be a great addition to my family. I picked him up a couple days after his neuter appointment. The adoption process was smooth and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
